Some of our successfully completed Service Provider projects include:
One of the largest UK mobile operators required a quota management and authentication platform for their fixed broadband service on a new converged core network. Netutils designed & delivered a platform to support over 1 million subscribers, and enabled the client to generate new revenues through on demand bandwidth sales as consumers neared their monthly quota.
One of the largest UK mobile operators required a platform to support a new smartphone to integrate with BT Open Zone Wi-Fi hotspots. Netutils was asked to design and deliver an authentication platform under extremely challenging timeframes due to the go-to-market requirements. The project has been viewed as a huge success by the business stake-holders, and the platform continues to see huge exponential growth. The flexibility of Netutils' Professional Services team enabled the client to successfully meet and exceed their business objectives.
A leading UK mobile operator required a turn-key solution for offering managed GPRS services to their clients. This included the ability to enable customers to login remotely to manage their own user accounts with differentiated levels of access. Netutils experience enabled the successful delivery of an end-to-end platform including a fully bespoke web front-end, secure remote access and two factor authentication. This system has supported the operator in successfully increasing per user revenues, gaining new clients and significantly reducing churn.
One of the largest global mobile operators recognised that there were large cost savings to be made on their UK service by enforcing Wi-Fi offload from the data network via BT Open Zone hotspots. Their challenge was to make certain that this happened seamlessly to ensure a positive and simple end user experience. The Netutils consultancy team were able to expand upon the existing RADIUS platform that they had previously delivered for Smartphone Wi-Fi authentication, and integrate with the home location register (HLR) database to provide the new functionality. Netutils specialist skills in this area highlighted a competitive, unique approach during a proof of concept which enabled the stakeholders to move forward with an attitude of low risk. The operator is now looking to extend the benefits beyond the UK into new geographical regions.
A UK virtual network operator was looking for a short project timeline implementation of a shared RADIUS solution to immediately manage private DSL authentication for a single customer. The solution needed to meet the immediate requirements by being extensible enough to add additional customer and services to the same platform.
"Network Utilities provided systems specification and design, and built a solution to meet the immediate and future requirements under very tight timescales. Their approach was well structured and flexible enough to meet the demands of the project.
Working with Network Utilities on this first joint project, has given us more than enough confidence to continue working with them on future projects. They're a great team. " Michael Catmur - Vanco Networks
One of the world's leading communications services companies required a security deployment for network access control over more than 100,000 endpoint devices in more than 170 countries. The challenges of scale, complexity and integration with existing systems across such a huge estate were extremely demanding. Netutils successfully worked with the client to understand which devices were connected to their network globally, developing the central policies and deploying them multi-nationally, in one of the largest global NAC deployments of its time. Netutils planning services, delivery, documentation, and review services enabled the clients deployment of the project smoothly in what could otherwise have resulted in significant impact on employee productivity.
One of the largest triple play providers required a highly scalable, high performance authentication platform to provide DSL authentication. It was intended that the platform be used for future expansion of a number of different subscriber services. The most recent project has involved the delivery of a Wi-Fi authentication service for the London zone one area. This has enable the provider to offer value added services to gain consumer market share, provide more granular subscriber services as well as offer a wholesale model to mobile operators looking to save costs via Wi-Fi offload. Our understanding of the end-to-end architecture, from network to service gateway and database integration, enabled the client to deliver a quality solution that catered for all required models.
